Today has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Everyone, back to bed with you!
I just called in sick at work. I have been coughing so much that my ribs and stomach hurt. My throat is quite sore. I didn’t sleep at all well due to the various discomforts and got maybe three hours of sleep last night. I am not going out there and facing -5 degree weather. Me an’ the Katie-cat are going back to bed and snuggling up together as soon as I finish my tea and brush my teeth.
I had an email from my husband when I got up. He is in Wales for two weeks. He informed me that he got up to start his day some ten hours ago with a deep, booming cough. I wonder if I’m to blame for his illness since I got it first or if we were exposed at roughly the same time. Cold viruses generally have an incubation period of a week to ten days. The influenza virus and some others are more in the incubation vicinity of two or three days. My coworker who sits right across the bench from me has been coughing, sneezing, and sniffling since Thursday, to the point that I was about ready to strangle her to quiet the noise. Maybe something other than the common cold virus is quickly making the rounds here.
I feel bad for my husband, though. He puts in long, long days when he’s on these business trips and doesn’t eat right and get enough sleep when he’s gone. He doesn’t need to be sick on top of this schedule.
…sigh…
Back to bed.

i can’t brain today i haz teh dumb

LOL! (Ouch, that hurts the throat!) No, it wasn’t anything you wrote! I’ve been taking that advice to stay in bed with the kitties (or at least the one who sleeps with me, the dyke-kitty.) I slept from 7:30 this morning until going on 3:00 this afternoon. The rest is helping. I have no intention of getting dressed today.
