Okay, well…   Leave a comment

Dale just called from Rome.   He finally turned his frickin’ cell phone back on and found out that I had tried to call from our land line yesterday.   The voice mail message, however, didn’t go through.  Then he had another message today saying that a call had come in to his cell phone from someone who didn’t have international service.  That was no doubt me calling today from my cell phone.   Again, voice mail message didn’t go through.

Yes, he has taken about a hundred photos already on that same memory card that he erased yesterday.  I said [extremely vulgar expletives].  He had two other memory cards with him.  Why couldn’t he have thought to take that one out of service and just bring it home with him instead of laying down more files on top of it!?!

Well, we’re still going to see if there is anything that can be recovered off of it when it gets home.  He just transferred the hundred or so photos that he took on it and put them on to one of the other cards.  He’ll use that card now for the remainder of the trip — like the tour of the Vatican tomorrow.

He’s doing better today than he was yesterday when he called.  He sounded calm and under control.  I mean, it is what it is… and that’s that.  He lost some digital files.  Our nephew took lots of pictures, too, and I’ll see those.  Dale said that we’ll go to Italy together someday and he’ll take more pictures.  That’s a better attitude to take about this.

Two more days until he’s home again.
